Claudia Makumbe (van de Peppel)
“Women Win uses sport as the vehicle to serve the women in need and I am a firm believer that sport is an ideal and great tool to use for development purposes.”

With a Masters degree in Cultural Anthropology/Sociology of Non-Western Societies, Claudia began her career at one of the oldest sports development NGOs, Sports Coaches’ Out Reach (SCORE) , in South Africa. Upon her return to the Netherlands, she managed the activities of the SCORE Foundation in Europe.

She currently works fulltime as a lecturer at the Professional University of Amsterdam at the Department of Sport, Management and Business.
