Women Win and the International Working Group on Women and Sport (IWG) set up a joint initiative to create opportunities for the funding of projects using sport as a strategy for the empowerment of women and girls.
The IWG and Women Win have joined forces to enable the funding of specific projects and the opportunity of showcasing them at the 2010 World Conference on Women and Sport to be held in Sydney.
The International Working Group on Women and Sport (IWG) was established in 1994 at the 1st World Conference on Women and Sport held in Brighton. The Group is an independent coordinating body consisting of representatives of key government and non-government organisations from different regions of the world.
