The Impact

In the past two years, Women Win has invested in building both its internal capacity and the capacity of Flagships and Incubators in order to better learn, document and share the impact of each organisation’s work. Results obtained thus far are documented in Women Win’s first report, Empowering Girls and Women through Sport. This report largely focuses on the impact of sport programmes at the individual and community levels. This report also includes critical success factors for programmes to achieve positive impact.

our plan for the future

Over the next three years, Women Win will learn, document and share short and longterm impacts of projects at both the individual and community levels. Short-term impacts of projects will focus on the development of specific skills through participation in sport, as well as the increase in a participant’s awareness of girls’ and women’s rights. Long-term impacts will focus on how participants apply these skills to life situations and how participants exercise personal rights both on and off the field.

Women Win staff will collect data in partnership with external consultants, and also gather data collected by programme partners and/or other organisations. Women Win will also work to understand and document the impact of its relationship with Flagships and Incubators, measuring whether Women Win is achieving expected outcomes.
