Maryam is currently an intern in the Advisory Services team mainly working on The Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains.
Graduating with a degree in pharmacy, she has been working in the field of public health and development for several years, focusing on youth and sexual and reproductive health.
Originally from Egypt, Maryam is currently doing her masters in global health at Maastricht University, with a specialisation in implementing innovations on a global scale. Her thesis is focused on exploring the global discourse of sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) funding and decolonisation. She is also doing a post-graduate degree with the University of Maryland Baltimore focused on research ethics.
When she’s not doing that, she’s exploring all sorts of places and/or consuming copious amounts of coffee.
