Paz Romero lives where she was born: La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She started as an activist many years ago focusing mainly on LGBTIQ+ rights and abortion access. Since then, she has been involved in organisations supporting victims of gender-based violence in marginalised neighbourhoods of her city.
When the pandemic started she decided to transition out of her job as a translator (where she worked with FIFA, Netflix and Nickelodeon among others) and pursue a career in social justice, specifically gender justice. Since then she has worked in various organisations and projects such as Chayn, AWID and The Bloom but what she is most passionate about is supporting under-resourced grassroots movements from a decolonial, sustainable, community-led perspective.
In her free time, she loves cooking and eating, making playlists, watching Steven Universe and playing with her dog Paca and her cat DJ.
