Sophie Harrod
Sophie joined Women Win in May 2023 as an EQUIS intern, as soon as she finished her studies, then predominantly worked on the Breaking Barriers programme with Adidas. She is currently based in England but values travelling highly and is extremely keen to explore as many new places as possible!
She has completed four years of studying Sports Management and Coaching at the University of Bath, along with a professional placement at SotoTennis Academy. Sophie now wants to invest her time and energy into the sports development world, using sports and physical activity as an instrument for positive societal change. She has seen first-hand the positive impact sport can have on people’s lives, which is why she believes it’s so important that everybody has inclusive access.
Sophie has always played a lot of sports, working well in a team and so always preferred team sports; she still plays football and netball competitively and often plays tennis and badminton socially with friends. As well as playing sports and keeping active in her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places, spending time with her dogs, and finding new music. She is also a massive foodie and tries new restaurants as well as creating her own veggie recipes!
