[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text el_class=”title-style-custom subtitlte-orange”]There are many barriers facing research, data collection, and monitoring of impact which ultimately inhibit the progress on advancing girls\u2019 rights. GRLS uses a collective impact framework to address these challenges and tackle deeply ingrained and complex social problems. The framework is based on the premise that no single policy, government department, organisation or programme can solve society\u2019s social problems. We need to develop partnerships with a shared interest in creating and measuring change.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle” el_class=”row-about-us-item row-remove”][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner content_placement=”middle” el_class=”row-about-us-item row-reverse”][vc_column_inner el_class=”content-padding” width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”title-style-custom”]With partners across the world, we have impacted the lives of 4.7 million girls and young women in over 130 countries<\/strong>, established a common agenda, shared indicators, mutually reinforcing activities and have become a pivotal organisation for this effort. Based on data collected by our partners, we know that after participating in sport and life skills programmes, adolescent girls and young women report the following:<\/p>\n

  • 70% Participate in other sports activities vs. 41% before<\/li>\n
  • 75% know how to prevent HIV vs. 32% before<\/li>\n
  • 87% know a place to report violence vs. 55% before<\/li>\n
  • 63% strongly agree that \u201cWomen should be able to earn their own money\u201d vs. 33% before<\/li>\n
  • 57% strongly agree that \u201cI have skills and talents that I am proud of\u201d vs. 28% before<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The knock on effect<\/h3>\n

    In addition to measuring change on the girl level, GRLS also assesses the impact of our direct activities on organisations and the sector at large. We know that because of our funding, services, tools and thought leadership, organisations report:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Improved capacity to design sport programmes for girls<\/li>\n
    • Increased number of organisations investing in sport to address girls\u2019 rights<\/li>\n
    • Improved ability to measure impact of their programmes<\/li>\n
    • Improved safety (policy and practice) in sport programmes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
