In the case of migration from a war-torn country, freedom of movement is a bodily right highly challenged by both international policies and physical violence inflicted during conflicts. BoMoVu (network of Sport and Body Movement for Vulnerable groups) – is an association based in Turkey, aimed at promotingsocial empowerment and inclusion of vulnerable groupsthrough sport and body movement. Part of BoMoVu’s mission is to shed light, bring a critical approach, and propose integrated and flexible solutions for social inclusion of migrants and refugees into sports.

BoMoVu leads a knowledge sharing network where practitioners of sport, dance and performing arts are supported to develop social programs based on their unique expertise. These programs use sport or other activities involving body movement to create social value, aiming to fight discrimination, protect and develop participants constitutional right to physical integrity. Women Win has partnered with BoMoVu since 2016 to support programs and generate insights into embodiment programming for migrant groups.
