Founded in 1994, Altus Sport is a locally registered NGO based in Pretoria, South Africa. Altus Sport stimulates youth empowerment through sport educational programmes, with a special emphasis on empowering girls. The organisation aims to accelerate the dissemination of successful ideas and programmes, while encouraging innovation, local ownership and entrepreneurship.

Altus Sport establishes youth sport leader forums in townships and builds the young leaders capacity through monthly workshops. The youth sport leaders then go back to their communities where they implement sport and life skills activities with youth in the townships. Programmes and activities are run in 12 communities across the Tshwane region.

In 2015, Women Win began partnering with Altus Sport to implement the Goal Programme with adolescent girls in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Hammanskraal, Stinkwater, Jakkalsdans, Penville, Temba and Mabopane. By December 2015, the organisation had reached over 1000 girls through sport and life skills programming. Since then, Women Win and Altus continue to expand the Goal Programme in Pretoria with a particular focus on strengthening the work of the female youth sport leaders.
