NOWSPAR is a Zambian NGO comprised of women and men who believe that sport, physical activity and recreation have the power to foster social change and increase an individual’s quality of life. Founded in 2006, NOWSPAR aims to encourage and promote the equitable engagement of women in sport, physical activity and recreation in Zambia.

NOWSPAR conducts its work through research, policy analysis, awareness raising and capacity development of women in sport. While also supporting organisations to enhance the delivery of sport for the benefit of women.

NOWSPAR was one of Women Win’s first partners and has been implementing a series of mission-aligned projects, including the Goal program. This program aims to empower adolescent girls through leadership skill building and financial literacy as one step in their process of economic empowerment (own words of organisation on website). NOWSPAR is conducting this sports-based program in four Zambian provinces including Lusaka, Southern, Eastern, and Copperbelt.
