Sanne Hitipeuw
Sanne obtained her Master’s degree in Corporate law at the University of Utrecht and joined global law firm DLA Piper in 2014 as a lawyer in the Amsterdam office, specializing in all aspects of corporate and employment law.
Sanne has always played an active role in performing pro bono work activities during her studies. In 2012 Sanne joined AIESEC, the world’s largest student-run organisation for young people to develop their leadership potential and to have a positive impact on society. As a board member in Utrecht, she contributed in setting up exchange programmes to create global cultural understanding, by sending students all over the world on professional internships and volunteer projects.
Also within DLA Piper Sanne values pro bono work and has been contributing to numerous pro bono projects for organisations such as JINC, Stichting Takecare BnB and Utrecht University’s Law Schools Honours Programme. She also organized multiple (fundraising) cycling events for the firm. Sanne has been involved in Women Win since 2015 by providing legal advice and joined Women Win as a board member in 2017.
Sanne’s multicultural background (she is half Dutch, half Moluccan) contributed to her increased interest in other people and cultures. Two of Sanne’s biggest passions are travelling and outdoor sports (she loves road cycling), especially those two combined. If you ask Sanne her best travelling experiences, she will definitely tell you about her six months travels throughout South-East Asia, the volcano climbing, her New York cycle trip and her horse trekking tour through Iceland.
