Made To Play Fund Winners Announced

Women Win, together with Nike, super model Adwoa Aboah, and Gurls Talk recently launched the Made to Play Fund, aimed at getting and keeping girls and young women in sport. The Made to Play Fund received more than 200 applications from young women all over the world looking to share their passion for empowering younger girls (7-14 year-old) through sport.

17 winners will use exciting sports, such as boxing, skateboarding, hip hop dancing and bollyrunning to inspire 7-14-year-old girls to get moving in Colombia, France, Germany, Ghana, Italy, Libya, Myanmar, The Netherlands, Pakistan, South Africa, Turkey, and UK. Each will receive a product donation from Nike and participate in the Women Win’s Leadership Development Programme, focused on learning how to design and deliver a sports programme for girls, with excellence. They will also take part in a Leadership and Partnership Camp led by Women Win during FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 in France. The full list of winners is below. You can also get to know them here.
