Joan Nyaki

Joan joined Women Win in February 2022 as a Programmes Coordinator focusing on the Win-Win strategies portfolio of strengthening women’s economic resilience and empowerment.

For the past several years Joan was the HERproject Country Representative for Kenya at BSR–Business for Social Responsibility and was responsible for representing HERproject in Kenya. This involved identifying new partners, building relationships, providing technical support to implementing partners, and sharing learnings locally and in global fora. Joan provided the day-to-day oversight of capacity building programming on health, gender and financial inclusion in garment factories, flower farms, tea estates, and smallholder tea farmer groups in Kenya.

Joan is currently doing her M.B.A with management as my focus at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, and holds an undergraduate degree in Community Development, with a minor in Business Administration and Management from Daystar University, Athi River, Kenya.  In the past 16 years, she has been empowering women through her work coordinating women-focused collaborative programs in partnership with the private sector and civil society organizations in East Africa.
