Mariana Chávez Sánchez
Originally from Mexico, Mariana first joined Women Win in 2018. Her role includes managing WW’s resource mobilisation efforts, coordinating stakeholder engagement and overseeing our communications.
Mariana holds a BA in Visual Communication and a MA in Gender Studies from the University of Utrecht. As a graphic designer, she worked in one of Mexico’s most prominent regional children’s hospitals to support children sick with cancer through physiotherapy guides. In 2016 she co-founded Cactus Power, a company employing women from rural communities.
With these experiences, Mariana understands the power of movement for resilience-building and the importance of women’s economic independence.
